Documentaries at Dusk

Thursday, September 24 · 7:00 pm
Salt Lake City · Free · Film

Join us for a movie night like no other! Shoreline Sentinels of Great Salt Lake tells the story of the Snowy Plover, small birds that make their nests at Great Salt Lake. In recent years, their breeding grounds have been experiencing increased disturbances due to humans at the lake. In order to understand their decline, the National Audubon Society and the Tracey Aviary have started to study the Snowy Plover in the hopes that we can save their population. This short film will begin at 7:30pm and will be followed by a brief expert Q&A. We’ll have trivia, lawn games, and local ambassadors from Great Salt Lake! This event is free to attend, but an RSVP is required as seats are limited.  Guests are welcome to bring their own non-alcoholic beverages and snacks. Please note that the University of Utah is an alcohol- and drug-free campus. Light refreshments will be available for purchase. This calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com, Utah’s one-stop, online website for arts and entertainment events, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.
