Join us for Something’s Brewing—a free community celebration along the Jordan River, and part of the Get to the River Festival. Pia Okwai, meaning “big flow” or “big river” in the Newe Taikwa (Shoshoni) language, is the Indigenous name for the Jordan River and the official name of our South Salt Lake nature center.Enjoy live music, local food and drink vendors while you meet the people restoring our watershed and discover what’s really flowing beneath the surface.
