You’re warmly invited to join us for South Salt Lake Together: A Community Gathering for International Overdose Awareness Day! Monday, August 31st, from 5:30 to 7pm South Salt Lake Co-Op (2530 S. 500 E.). This free, family-friendly gathering is a chance for our community to remember those we have lost, support those affected by overdose, learn lifesaving skills, and connect with local resources. What to Expect: Delicious food, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with your neighbors and community organizations Community resource tables with local organizations offering information and support A remembrance activity honoring lives lost to overdose Naloxone training provided by the Salt Lake County Health Department: register here! The grand reveal of our new Overdose Prevention Education Installation: an interactive exhibit designed to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and share lifesaving information Whether you’ve been personally affected by overdose or simply want to learn how you can help, there is a place for you at South Salt Lake Together.
