A LIGHT TO REMEMBER HOSTS OVERDOSE VICTIM MEMORIAL AND RECOVERY EVENTS IN 4 UTAH COMMUNITIES WITH 20+ ORGANIZATIONS Events in Salt Lake City, Tooele, Price and Emery will Include Expert Voices, Advocates and the Ceremonial Water Release of Lanterns Dedicated to Those Lost Monday, Aug. 31, 2026 5:00pm-9:00pm MT On International Overdose Awareness Day, A Light to Remember will bring together families, people in recovery and 20 + community organizations including, Dragonfly Wellness United Against Fentanyl, USU Health Extension, Molina Healthcare, Weber Human Services and more, across four Utah communities for events focused on overdose victim remembrance, recovery and harm-reduction education. Utahns unable to attend in person can participate by placing a lantern outside their home in memory of someone lost to overdose, sharing it with #ALightToRemember and adding a name to the event’s online memory wall.
