Latine Heritage Month 2026

Monday, October 12 · 9:00 am
Salt Lake City · Festivals

Hispanic Heritage Month, also referred to as Latine Heritage Month, is celebrated each year from September 15 through October 15 at the University of Utah and nationally. This educational and celebratory month, began as a week-long celebration in 1968 under President Lyndon B. Johnson and was expanded to a full month by President Reagan in 1988. Latine heritage and culture is American heritage and culture, and our leaders recognize the great contributions of communities coming together to support a more just and equal society. Latine Heritage Month is celebrated from mid-September to mid-October because several Latin American countries celebrate their independence during this time. All are welcome to join us in celebrating Latine Heritage Month 2026! 2026 Theme: Pioneers of Change: Shaping the Future Together September 15, 2026 – October 15, 2026 This calendar listing is brought to you by NowPlayingUtah.com, Utah’s one-stop, online website for arts and entertainment events, powered by the Utah Cultural Alliance.
