Newsies Jr.

South Valley Performing Arts is a nonprofit community theater organization dedicated to inspiring, educating, and empowering young performers while making the performing arts accessible to families throughout the South Valley. In partnership with the Jordan Education Foundation and Advantage Arts Academy, we are proud to give back to the performing arts community and support arts education for youth. Our talented cast of youth ages 8–18 has spent weeks learning from experienced theater professionals in acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft, building confidence, teamwork, and lifelong friendships along the way. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover their potential through the arts, and every production is designed to help young performers grow both on and off the stage. Our inaugural production, Disney’s Newsies, brings together an exceptional cast in a spectacular Broadway-style performance filled with high-energy choreography, powerful vocals, and an inspiring story of courage, determination, and standing up for what is right. Audiences will be transported to the streets of New York City in 1899 as Jack Kelly and the newsboys fight for justice in one of Disney’s most beloved musicals. Whether you’re supporting a young performer or simply looking for an unforgettable family night at the theater, you’ll experience incredible talent, heartfelt storytelling, and the excitement of watching the next generation of performers seize the day.
