Shrek The Musical is a Broadway musical adaptation of the 2001 DreamWorks film, featuring music by Jeanine Tesori and book/lyrics by David Lindsay-Abaire. It tells the story of an ogre named Shrek who rescues Princess Fiona to regain his swamp, delivering a comedic, heartfelt message about accepting differences and, as the show famously says, “letting your freak flag fly”.
