Mozart with Conrad Tao

Saturday, November 7 · 7:30 pm
Salt Lake City · Music

Conrad Tao has made an indelible mark on the classical scene and major stages around the globe, and remains the sole classical artist named by Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” in the music industry. His long history with the Utah Symphony traces back to his debut at age 16 and a residency with the orchestra—now, this audience-favorite pianist returns to Abravanel Hall for a sublime performance in which he plays the role of both soloist and conductor. “Peak Mozart” is highly subjective, but you just might find it in the splendor of his Piano Concerto No. 20 and Symphony No. 40. One of Mozart’s final symphonies, No. 40 is also one of his most popular and admired. You’ll find everything you love about the composer’s genius here: playful lyricism, instantly recognizable melodies, and moments of profound grace.
